Tourists ignore warnings
During 2019 and 2020, this beach reported a white balance, despite the fact that almost all the time the red flags warn of the danger of the sea.
According to local lifeguards, tourists almost always ignore these warnings.
For this reason, in addition to being known as the only beach that officially tolerates nudism , Zipolite is known as " the beach of the dead ." Prior to these last two years, drownings were very common, due to the strong currents of the open sea that bathe this beach.
