Después de una controversia generada en redes sociales y a partir de la publicación de notas en medios nacionales en donde se resalta -de forma superficial y hasta chacotera- la nueva aplicación de multas por cinco mil pesos y trabajo comunitario para quienes sean sorprendidos teniendo relaciones sexuales en la playa, con lo que se presume, se podría alejar al turismo de la mítica playa nudista; autoridades locales puntualizaron que los acuerdos se desprenden de una asamblea comunitaria y fueron consensuados ante la urgencia de parar actos de exhibicionismo y recobrar la identidad del lugar como playa familiar y espiritual.
“La playa no está cerrada, tiene libre tránsito y es 100 por ciento nudista y familiar. Lo que pedimos solo fue un poco de respeto para la población en general, para los visitantes, niños y familias porque ya había muchas quejas sobre comportamiento inadecuado de algunas personas. Ante los dichos y críticas acerca de que la medida de sancionar a quienes sean vistos teniendo sexo en la playa podría tratarse de un acto de criminalización contra la comunidad gay, Jarquín Gómez aclaró que de ninguna manera buscan afectar al segmento LGBT, a quienes respetan y son una parte fundamental del turismo.
“Zipolite los recibe con los brazos abiertos, aquí prevalece la libertad, pero con respeto”, afirmó.
