A little about Playa Zipolite, The Beach of the Dead . . .

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

Entre 1100 a.C. se estableció la cultura ZOQUE MIXE por creer que este lugar es un lugar de poder, dejando petroglifos en zonas estratégicas. Ahora este paraíso se ve amenazado por la construcción de una refinería, dejando a un lado la importancia histórica del lugar y a miles de especies animales sin hogar. Entre más sea conocida esta playa se hará más eco. This beautiful beach is better known for SURFING but apart from that it contains a story that they do not want to be told. My meal today was a silver sardine ceviche. The good thing is that our sea gave me sardines, the ones that took out my atarray. Then I clean them up. Then in my house I put them garlic, finely chopped onion, and brown chili' also chopped. Then ginger, add lemon and then soy sauce. I waited for their harvest with lemon, onion and what I mentioned. Arriving your time with cookies habanera enjoy them. I need to say that I accompany her with a crown beer because victory is ours. For dessert a delicious mamey that made me say, thank you three times and even more: very grateful.

Mi comida de hoy fue un ceviche de plateada sardina. Lo bueno es que el mar nuestro me regaló sardinas, las que sacó mi atarraya. Después las limpie. Luego en mi casa les puse ajo, cebolla finamente picada, y chile morrón' también picado. Luego gengibre, agregue limón y en su momento salsa de soya. Esperé su cocimiento con el limón, cebolla y, lo que les mencioné. Llegando su momento con galletas habaneras las disfrute. Me falta decir que la acompañe con cerveza corona porque la victoria es nuestra. De postre un delicioso mamey que me hizo decir, tres veces gracias y aún mas: muy agradecido.
