We are a Mexican family and we own and run our hostel in Puerto Escondido, we live here and we want to look after our environment and the beaches of Puerto Escondido. We continuously rethink and improve our concept to consider an organic, ecological and sustainable way to run our place for travellers around the world.
Our guests are really mixed what makes our place so special and interesting. Beside the backpackers and online worker, we also host frequently Mexicans, travellers, students, workers etc. Also we offer two apartments. So some guests stay 1-4 months mostly escaping from winter in their countries 🙂
Our hostel has good overall rankings. We are a top ranked accommodation in Puerto Escondido on all platforms. It was really hard work for over 10 years to get to that point. We expect from you, to take efforts and show engagement to guarantee quality and attention to our guests. Please make sure you contact us only if you are really interested and reliable. So that we can give those people the chance who really want to work with us here in Puerto Escondido. You should stay maximum 4 weeks.
We want you to do mainly the following things:
Helping to run our small really easy going bar (7pm-11pm). You need to be flexible because sometimes there are some other tasks to do.
What happens automatically, guests gonna ask you where is what or they wanna do trips i.e. illuminated plancton, seeing turtles, go surfing ... So simply organise the activities easily with our partners.
We host maximum 1 volunteer. We'll send you our current calendar to check when we have positions available.
ACCOMMODATION:
Your room: You gonna stay in the room that is only for workers or volunteers. So you would share the room with maximum 2 other persons and use our shared bathroom. The room gives you some space and privacy.
Your food: We can't afford a daily payment for your food. You can have the breakfast we offer. For your dinner, we have following solution. If you want, you can organise a family dinner. Works this way that guests who want to join the family dinner contribute with some pesos. You organise the type of food and ingredients. Normally all contributors are preparing and having the dinner together, brings lots of fun
If you want to learn surfing and take surfing classes: Let us know so we work out a offer with one of our partners. The best spot to start learning surfing is just around the corner beach Carrizalillo, 10 min by walk.
We are always flexible and want you to have an awesome time with us. So don't be scared if you wanna take an evening or day off to make a trip or something. We would be happy to work this out
