The trip to Zipolite
On March 1, we were met at the airport to travel the 24 hours to Zipolite, a small village in Mexico.First stop is Paris. Where we waited for 7 hours. To pass the time we recorded some movies and rotated around the aerodrome different places to sit on. The flight to Mexico City took 12.5 hours.When we land in Mexico City is the 16 degrees. We are somewhat disappointed. We had been promised about 30 degrees. When Anna-Maria goes through customs notes verifier that we should Zipolite and asks if we are to nude bathing. Zipolite is namely a famous nudist beach in Mexico, which we both had missed. Then, X-ray our luggage and Irmelis bag is searched. The inspector is rough and oops, he has taken down the zipper on Irmelis backpack. He fixes it by wrapping the entire backpack making it unable to carry on the shoulder straps. After we managed to check in our luggage to the last domestic trip, we wait about 5 hours before it's time to fly 50 minutes to the coast and the town of Huatulco. In Huatulco we step out with jacket and fleece in 30 degree heat. We are happy!The airport consists of a few stone houses with thatched roof. It is only our aircraft there. We take a taxi one hour to Zipolite and Piña Palmera that will be our home for the next two months.

Ignoring traffic signals and double parking are probably two of the most common driving infractions that raise the ire of those drivers who follow the rules.
But there are many more and all are common, to the point where in Mexico City alone it has been estimated there are 500 such infractions every day.
And it’s not only drivers who pose risks: pedestrians who jaywalk or ignore traffic lights also contribute to disorder in traffic that can lead to fatalities.
But it’s motorists who represent the biggest danger on the roads. In response, security officials in Mexico City and the automotive and traffic research organization Cesvi have come up with their top-10 list of the most common driving violations:
• Ignoring speed limits;
• Driving under the influence;
• Driving the wrong way, against traffic;
• Double parking, parking in front of entry ways, in pedestrian zones or in zones reserved for disabled persons;
• Driving without registration;
• Driving without a licence;
• Driving without a seatbelt;
• Failing to use turn signals;
• Driving without plates; and
• Driving without paying sufficient attention: using a cell phone, not using mirrors or playing with the entertainment system.
Anther infraction that was mentioned but did not make the top-10 list is failing to give the right-of-way to pedestrians on designated crosswalks.
Your correspondent lived for a time in Peru, where it was suggested that the best way for a pedestrian to cross the street was to make the sign of the cross and dash to the other side. The advice might have some merit in Mexico as well.

You want to touch the fire? You want to cross the sea by air? Come on boy, tell me where you want me to become? I am the night, I am the devil.
These words were a whisper quietly carried by the wind in my ears. The beach was deserted at that hour of the morning. The fire purred crisp and tiny sparks in a circle of stones ..
The man had appeared out of nowhere, between a short time, a contraction of the waves, in a sudden spasm of darkness.
His eyes were tiny stars that pierced me, its indigenous face had a perfect copper skin. Their targets with a similar grin a smile teeth, seemed to sing a seductive yet intelligible tune, capturing my attention completely. Pleased jumped, inertia I followed his gaze, to discover sitting on the rim of the moon, swinging his legs, just above the head of the rabbit. The moon was the ring of a magician.
The sea finally fell on the sand and eventually reactivated. Fear not, said behind me. Stepping out into the firelight was no longer a man. It was a moth, stumbling around the luminous circle.
I woke kilometers offshore, then I knew it was a dream, I had fallen asleep in a dream, being aware of it, I woke up again at the beach. When looking at my hands had dully between the tips of my fingers, like moths left when touched.

Estas palabras eran un murmullo, plácidamente llevado por el viento a mis oídos. La playa estaba desierta a esas horas de la madrugada. El fuego ronroneaba chispas crujientes y diminutas en un circulo de piedras..
Aquel hombre había aparecido de la nada, entre un breve espacio de tiempo, en una contracción de las olas, en un súbito espasmo de la oscuridad.
Sus ojos eran estrellas enanas, que me traspasaban, su rostro indígena tenia una piel perfecta de cobre. Sus dientes blancos con una mueca parecida a una sonrisa, parecía cantar una tonada inteligible y a la vez seductora, captando mi atención por completo. Complacido dio un salto, por inercia lo seguí con la mirada, para descubrirlo sentado en el aro de la luna, balanceando sus piernas, justo arriba de la cabeza del conejo. La luna era el anillo de un mago.
El mar por fin cayó sobre la arena y el tiempo se reactivó. No tengas miedo, me dijo a mis espaldas. Al salir a la luz del fuego ya no era un hombre. Era una mariposa nocturna, dando tumbos al rededor del circulo luminoso.
Desperté kilómetros mar adentro, entonces supe que era un sueño, me había quedado dormido en un sueño, al estar consciente de ello, desperté de nuevo en la playa. Al mirar mis manos tenia un brillo opaco entre las puntas de mis dedos, como el que dejan las polillas cuando se les toca.
