So on this day, 1994, I flew into Huatulco, arrived late in the afternoon and hired a combi to take me to Gloria's. I had met Gloria in the mid 70's and hadn't seen her since 1988 so it was great visiting with her again. There was a great New Years celebration on the beach that had started around sunset and lasted until after midnight.
We woke up the next morning to the sound of military helicopters flying over on their way to Chiapas and soldiers passing through the area on their way to confront the Zapatistas.
I will miss being able to meet my old friend again. RIP Gloria. What a wonderful person and what great things you accomplished. You live forever.

Such a great friend. Extraordinary aunt and mother for all those who had the privilege of knowing her and being by her side learning a lot from her and filling our hearts with her great virtues that God gave her. May God have her in his holy glory. RIP. She was an excellent teacher full of wisdom. happy new year to all shambhala visitors. may God fill you with abundance and peace. harmony and perseverance.
