Members of associations and groups of the LGBTIQ+ community announced this Thursday the III Pride Caravan March that will take place on June 18 starting at 12 noon.
This will have more than 30 contingents in the demand for the claim of their rights and for people with disabilities who belong to the sector.
The contingent of the approximately eight thousand people that are expected will leave from the Fountain of the Eight Regions on the Porfirio Díaz road, Juárez Avenue, and other streets until they reach the Alameda de León, where they will announce their demands regarding the inclusion and not discrimination.
The Organizing Committee reported that it has initiated a new strategy in conjunction with sectors of Santa Lucía del Camino, Tlaxiaco, Huajuapan de León, Juchitán, Acatlán de Pérez Figueroa, Zipolite and Puerto Escondido, who formed the Oaxacan front of LGBT marches.
They pointed out that its objective is dialogue with the government, companies and society to promote respect for their rights, inclusion and non-discrimination.
They also indicated that they constantly carry out multiple informative and recreational activities with the aim of raising awareness in society about the importance of not violating this historically vulnerable sector.
At the end of the caravan march, a cultural and artistic protest will be held for talents from the community; Those interested in participating can contact the organizers through social networks.
They clarified that the caravan march is not a parade or a carnival, but a social exercise of protest made up of people who belong to this group considered one of the most violent and discriminated against in Mexico.
