Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

Oaxaca.-In order to continue creating sports and cultural spaces, José Antonio Pérez Camacho, president of the Huaxyacac ​​League, reported that the activities were carried out on the Oaxacan coast with great success and interest, with exhibitions, conferences and sports events, and now It was time in Zipolite, one of the most beautiful places in our entity.
 
The Oaxacan promoter, Pérez Camacho, held for free, at the Zipolite beach elementary school "Lázaro Cárdenas" the conference and exhibition "Rincones de Oaxaca" of his authorship, with the highlights of the different natural and historical attractions of our entity, in addition to the sports entity and highlighted the great interest shown by the students and teachers of all grades who gathered.
 
He highlighted the interest and support of the director of the campus, Professor Sara Jacinto Hernández to carry out the event. In addition to the coexistence of children's soccer and on the soccer field, the exhibition of Kites by students from the same Lázaro Cárdenas elementary school. Physical education teacher Betanzos from the same elementary school stressed that the objective of the Papalotes event is to preserve traditional games as a culture. In addition to family life, since everyone did it with their parents to have greater interaction in addition to preserving those traditions that are being lost today.

Pérez Camacho highlighted that the Huaxyacac ​​League has been holding events on the Oaxacan coast for more than two decades. With sports and cultural events with an extraordinary response, such as in Puerto Ángel, Zipolite, Pochutla, San Agustinillo, Mazunte, etc. that are added to the activities in the Central Valleys, Miahuatlán and San José del Pacifico.

Shortly, the tours of one of the most emblematic places of Zipolite, such as Shambhala, will begin, coordinated by the Huaxyacac ​​League, where children from that region, and with the purpose that they value care for the environment, will know this beautiful place that It has a large natural area. 
Shambhala is a legacy left behind by Gloria Johnson Ramírez, who met the promoter, and who sadly passed away recently. and that she preferred to live modestly, refusing opulence and dividing up that place in addition to her communal struggle. The children will visit this great natural space, have a snack, all free of charge, and draw those spectacular views. Pérez Camacho thanked the interest of the current head of Shambhala, María Zalvidea, heiress of that tradition and legacy.
 
Finally, Pérez Camacho highlighted the interest of many people in creating these spaces and thanked María Zalvidea, Cordelia Reyes de la Rosa, Lolas Lino, Virgen de la Luz Fierros Sosa for their support, as well as Max Ramírez Reyes in the events that take place. in Puerto Ángel and Zipolite, beautiful places and regretted the almost non-existent dissemination of what are undoubtedly magical places in Oaxaca.
