Documentary film. 26 minutes It is the story of a town in the coastal region of Oaxaca, which 22 years ago organized to fight, defend and protect its wetlands from a foreign company, which wanted to establish a shrimp farm. "Magda or the town of the fish"- Dahlia Sosa Hernández, Xareni Zafra Gatica. Documentary film. 30 minutes Magda, a 23-year-old apprentice midwife, receives a dream mission to help combat the violence that surrounds the women of her town, San Mateo del Mar, Oaxaca, a fishing community. Sunday 26.2 —7pm "Gertrudis Blues" Patricia Carrilo. Short film. 10 minutes It is a story of losses and escapes, but also of resistance and solidarity. Undoubtedly, the very nice Gertrudis looks at the camera and tells her story, which is also the story of her town. In this way, she fulfills the mission of collecting and communicating a collective experience. "Artemio" Sandra Luz Barroso. 47min. Artemio presents the phenomenon of migration from the point of view of a child and from a narrative full of emotion shows how beautiful and simple life is. A little about Playa Zipolite, The Beach of the Dead . . .

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

Es la historia de un pueblo en la región de la costa de Oaxaca, que hace 22 años se organizó para pelear, defender y proteger sus humedales de una empresa extranjera, la cual pretendía establecer un criadero de camarones.

“Magda o el pueblo de los pescados”- Dahlia Sosa Hernández, Xareni Zafra Gatica. Documental. 30 minutos
Magda, una aprendiz de partera de 23 años, recibe en sueños la misión de ayudar a combatir la violencia que rodea a las mujeres de su pueblo, San Mateo del Mar, Oaxaca, una comunidad de pescadores.

Domingo 26.2 —7pm

“Gertrudis Blues” Patricia Carrilo. Cortometraje. 10 minutos
Es un relato de pérdidas y fugas, pero también de resistencia y solidaridad. Sin duda, la simpatiquísima Gertrudis mira a cámara y cuenta su historia, que es también la historia de su pueblo. Cumple así la misión de recolectar y comunicar una experiencia colectiva.
