A little about Playa Zipolite, The Beach of the Dead . . .

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

And with this we say goodbye!! Well, I only have to thank the project that was Delfina Beach Club and all those who were part of it, but this year is one of change, growth and closing cycles, I made the decision to change and welcome La Patrona to a new concept where We will have a daily drag show, a new cocktail bar, new furniture and art, and many more parties. We are waiting for you this Saturday for the grand opening where we will have a live mariachi show, the pixie pixie show, and many more surprises!!!

Y con esta nos despedimos !! Pues no me queda más que agradecer el proyecto que fue Delfina Beach Club y a todos los que fueron parte de el pero este año es de cambios , crecimiento y de cerrar ciclos tome la desición de cambiar y darle la bienvenida a La Patrona un nuevo concepto donde tendremos show drag diario nueva coctelería nuevo mobiliario y arte y muchas fiestas más, les esperamos este sábado para la gran inauguración donde tendremos mariachi en vivo el show de pixie pixie y muchas sorpresas más !!!
