A little about Playa Zipolite, The Beach of the Dead . . .

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

Nos unimos a la iniciativa World Cleanup Day donde han participado mas de 60 millones de personas de 191 países.
Todos ellos quieren un mundo libre de basura ¿Y tú?
¿Cómo participar? La modalidad es colillatón y se trata de recolectar la mayor cantidad de colillas que encuentres en la playa en una botella de PET limpia y seca. Para entregarla  en Chiwi’s Beach House donde terminaremos las actividades con dos DJ Set extendidos de gran calidad, Mory Henly & DJ BILD. Nos deleitaran con una mezcla de texturas electrónicas matices coloridos y mucha buena onda. 
Recuerda que es importante utilizar guantes ( o pinzas) y cubre boca al momento de recolectar colillas, ya que no es seguro tocar estos residuos tóxicos directamente.

How to participate ? The modality is gagging and it’s about collecting as many gagging as you can find on the beach in a clean, dry PET bottle. To deliver at Chiwi’s Beach House where we'll end the activities with two great quality extended DJ Set, Mory Henly & DJ BILD . We will be delighted with a mix of colorful electronic textures and a lot of good vibes.
Remember that it is important to use gloves (or tweezers) and cover your mouth when collecting butts, because it is not safe to touch these toxic waste directly.
