Zipolite, de “cementerio” a playa nudista, el secreto mejor guardado de Oaxaca - Revista Central Zipolite es reconocida como una de las playas nudistas más hermosas de México, sin embargo, su nombre oculta un oscuro secreto. |
If we talk about nudist beaches, we have to talk about Zipolite , a paradise located in Oaxaca that invites us to walk along its golden sand and swim completely naked in its crystal clear water.
Zipolite is an open sea beach , very close to Puerto Ángel and is the favorite destination for couples, friends and all those people who want to connect with the sea naturally.
Even in February the Nudist Festival is held , where hundreds of Mexican and foreign nudists take place on this magical beach.
But Zipolite was not always the paradisiacal place that we know, since according to the origin of its name, this place keeps a dark secret.
Zipolite, a place of the dead?
Although Zipolite is a paradise, it has a well-kept secret that has to do with the origin of its name.
Zipolite is a Zapotec word that means “beach of the dead” . Yes, of the dead!
But this name is not because other people's lives were ended in this place or because there were ghosts, but for another reason.
The name Zipolite comes from the legend that this place served as a cemetery, since it is believed that on this beach, the inhabitants buried their deceased.
There is not much information about this legend, only speculation that the remains of some people can be found under the beautiful golden sand and in the waves of the sea. Will be?
About the origin of Zipolite there is only legend, since it is a paradisiacal place, where couples, friends and families gather to admire the beauty of the sea.
