A little about Playa Zipolite, The Beach of the Dead . . .

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

Querida familia, estamos emocionadxs porque falta muy poco para comenzar edición número 12 de este Festival !!!!!!!!!
Queremos comopartir con la comunidad que nuestro FESTIVAL DE CIRCO ,comienza el día 6 (domingo)con la función de CONTRAPESO en el Foro Mermejia c(on capacidad reducida) y hasta el jueves 10 no habrá ninguna otra función.
En breve les compartimos la programación oficial , el acceso será limitado y cuidadoso con las costumbres comunitarias.
Para esta ocasión preferimos no ocupar el Espacio Publico como forma de apoyar a la comunidad, contribuyendo a no alterar más el desborde de gente que nos visitan por otro tipo de eventos que no organizamos nosotrxs.
Queremos aclarar también que nuestra primer función en Mazunte es el día seis y que no nos hacemos cargo de ningún evento masivo que no estemos nosotrxs difundiendo en nuestras paginas y redes sociales.
Pronto anunciaremos como adquirir tus entradas para participar .
Falta muy poquito, estate atentx.
Dear family, we are excited because there is very little time left to start the 12th edition of this festival!!!!!!!!!
We want to share with the community that our CIRCUS FESTIVAL, begins on the 6th (Sunday) with the function of COUNTERFACE in the Mermejia Forum c (reduced capacity) and until Thursday 10th there will be no other function.
Soon we will share the official schedule with you, access will be limited and careful with community customs.
For this occasion we prefer not to occupy the Public Space as a way of supporting the community, contributing to not further disrupt the overflow of people who visit us for another type of events that we do not organize.
We also want to clarify that our first function in Mazunte is on the sixth day and that we do not take care of any massive event that we are not spreading on our pages and social networks.
We will soon announce how to purchase your tickets to participate.
