ZIPOLITE, Pochutla.- To recover more harmonious forms of coexistence between residents and tourists, and in turn reinforce the idea of ​​Zipolite as a tolerant place, but where respect for the community prevails, authorities and residents agreed in an assembly to put in place rules to the practice of nudism.

Faced with an alleged prevalence of acts of exhibitionism and sexual relations -or orgies- that have been registered mainly in Playa del Amor and different public spaces, inhabitants of the so-called Nudist Beach of Mexico, determined to regulate the nudist practice and put a stop to the excesses that have been presented fundamentally among the LGBT community that visits the destination.

They delimit areas for nudism

In an assembly held on January 16, and given that it is a community that is governed by uses and customs, it was approved that "nudism will be allowed only and exclusively in Playa del Amor and the area known as Shambala, which includes the Hotel Naked to Hotel Shambala”, that is, at both ends of the wide beach.

Likewise, it is specified that the practice of nudism is prohibited on public roads, streets, commercial premises, restaurants and sports spaces, and it is emphasized that within the spaces allowed for the practice of nudism "relationships or behavior of a sexual nature are prohibited. sexual or sexual exhibitionism, under penalty of administrative sanctions in case of being caught".

In videos that have been sent to our newsroom, explicit sexual encounters can be observed both in Playa del Amor and on the main public road in Zipolite, which are committed at night. It is known that in Playa del Amor such acts take place almost every night, mainly among men from the gay community who gather there to have furtive encounters.

In the same tenor and given the cancellation of the Nudist Festival in its seventh edition, the attendees approved that the event be rescheduled in the period between April and October of this year, since being a period of low tourist influx, its realization would revive the local economy.

They regulate the volume in clubs

Given the events or clubs that handle music at high volumes, which has caused permanent annoyance and complaints from neighbors, it was determined that all establishments and businesses such as bars, canteens, nightclubs and restaurants should not exceed the volume of the music or sound at more than 65 decibels to avoid noise pollution and as established by the regulations of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, through NOM-081 SEMARNAT-1994.

Additionally, to avoid disturbances or acts that alter social peace, residents voted so that all negotiations for the sale of food, dinner parties, restaurants or different businesses with exclusive sale of alcoholic beverages, such as bars, canteens, nightclubs and warehouses, sell said beverages. only until twelve at night.

In both cases, any citizen who feels affected by the auditory impact -noise- or observes the non-compliance with the measures agreed by the majority, may report the offenders for the application of sanctions or closures to the businesses involved.
