A little about Playa Zipolite, The Beach of the Dead . . .

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

Hotel Nude Zipolite shared a post. 19m One more year that ends and we will celebrate the arrival of 2022 in a big way. We have a lot of parties prepared for you starting at 2:00 pm with the music of our resident DJ Elmer. At 8:30 pm we will do a Zapotec shaman ritual to say goodbye to this great year. ✨🥂✨ During dinner that will begin at 9:30 pm, Lisa and Fernando will entertain us with their saxophone. At 11:00 pm the live music begins with the salsa group and our DJ and the party will continue until dawn. 🍽🥂✨ And right at 12:00 am we will have fireworks to welcome 2022. Un año más que culmina y nosotros celebraremos en grande la llegada del 2022.
Les tenemos preparada mucha fiesta desde las 2:00 pm con la música de nuestro dj residente Elmer.
En punto de las 8:30 pm haremos un ritual chamán zapoteca para despedir este grandioso año.

Durante la cena que comenzará a las 9:30 pm, nos amenizara Lisa y Fernando con su saxofón.
A las 11:00 pm comienza la música en vivo con el grupo de salsa y nuestro Dj y la fiesta seguirá hasta el amanecer.
