A little about Playa Zipolite, The Beach of the Dead . . .

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

I post WWW Oaxaca, Mexico, Zipolite and areas nearby information. Also general budget, backpacker, surfer, off the beaten path, Mexico and beyond, information.

REMEMBER: Everyone is welcome at Zipolite.

El mundo al revés . . .THE LEGEND OF THE FOURTH MAGIC KING🎄✨👑

“Tú no fracasaste. Yo estaba desnudo, y me vestiste. Yo tuve hambre y me diste de comer. Tuve sed y me diste de beber. Estuve preso, y me visitaste.

THE LEGEND OF THE FOURTH MAGIC KING🎄✨👑
There is a legend that, without being part of the Revelation, teaches us what God expects of us: It is realized that there was a fourth King Magician (ARTABAN), who also saw the star shining on Belen and decided to follow it. As a gift I thought I would offer the child a chest full of precious pearls. However, on his way he went to meet several people who were asking for his help.
This Magician King served them with joy and diligence, and was leaving a pearl to each of them. But that was delaying his arrival and emptying his chest. He found many poor, sick, imprisoned and miserable and couldn't leave them unattended. He stayed with them the time necessary to relieve their sorrows and then proceeded their march, which was again interrupted by another disvalidation
It happened that when he finally arrived at Bethlehem, the other Wizards were no longer there and the Child had fled with his parents to Egypt, because King Herod wanted to kill him. The Magician King kept looking for him, even without the star that led him before.
Searched and searched and searched... and they say he spent over thirty years traveling the earth, looking for the Child and helping those in need. Until one day came to Jerusalem just at the moment the angry crowd demanded the death of a poor man. Looking at him, he recognized in his eyes something familiar. Between the pain, the blood and the suffering, I could see in her eyes the shine of the star. That miserable one who was being justified was the Child he had been looking for for so long!!
Sadness filled his heart, already old and tired for time. Although he still kept a pearl in his bag, it was too late to offer it to the Child who now, become a man, hung on a Cross. He had failed in his mission...
And with nowhere else to go, he stayed in Jerusalem to wait for his death to come.
It had barely been three days when an even brighter light than that of the star filled their room. It was the Resurrection that came to meet him!
The Magician King, falling on his knees before Him, took the pearl that was left behind and extended his hand as he made a bow. Jesus took him tenderly and said to him:
“You did not fail. On the contrary, you found me throughout your life. I was naked, and you dressed me. I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was locked up, and you visited me. For I was among all the poor that you served in your way.
Thank you so much for so many gifts of love, now you will be with me forever, for Heaven is your reward.
