Juchitán de Zaragoza.- The municipality of San Pedro Pochutla and its beaches, including the tourist destinations of Puerto Ángel and Zipolite , remain in the yellow phase of the epidemiological traffic light due to the increase in cases and deaths from Covid-19 . While by agreement of the Cabildo the capacity is maintained at 75% in all spaces.

The municipal authority recalled that 75% is applied, in addition to the beaches , in hotels , established businesses , flea markets and street shops , markets , public spaces , sporting and cultural events , religious centers , spas , gyms and transportation .

Those that keep 50% of their services in this municipality of the Oaxaca Coast region are nightclubs , discotheques , and social event rooms with prior authorization from the municipal authority. In order to comply with the provisions, constant visits are made by the municipal authority.

In the Costa region, according to data from the Oaxaca Health Services (SSO) , there is a constant increase in cases and deaths in municipalities such as San Pedro Mixtepec, where the red light was set. 

In the Costa region there are 2,845 accumulated positive cases, 531 suspected cases and 319 deaths. San Pedro Pochutla has 296 accumulated cases, 30 deaths and 6 active cases. 

The Coast is one of the three regions, along with the Central Valleys and the Isthmus, to which the SSO made a "strong call" to observe sanitary measures given the increase in cases and the risk of saturation of the hospital network.
