SAN PEDRO POCHUTLA, Oaxaca.- Zipolite residents agreed in an assembly to open the beach, restaurants and public spaces to local visitors and to neighboring municipalities, in order to revive the local economy.
After a few days ago, residents of the Nudist Beach of Mexico asked their auxiliary authorities to ponder the opening of businesses, particularly restaurants, to improve the local economy - severely affected by the tourist inactivity derived from the COVID-19 pandemic- Last weekend, residents of the town agreed to open businesses and a beach for residents of the region.

This was confirmed by Antonio García Martínez, Zipolite agent, who stated that restaurants, taquerías, beaches and public spaces will be opened again so that both inhabitants of Pochutla and the surrounding municipalities –Tonameca, San Pedro Mixtepec and Huatulco- can enjoy the beach and consume in establishments that offer a variety of prepared foods both on the beach and in the cobblestone area, Colonia Roca Blanca.
The representative pointed out that the sanitary filter located at the entrance of the population will remain in force and will serve to guarantee that only people who prove that they are residents of the area with official identification access to the place, in addition to having to wear mouth guards on a mandatory basis. .
Regarding the reopening of public spaces such as the central court of the population, García Martínez stressed that sports activities such as soccer and basketball may be resumed for the benefit of those who live in the town.
He added that the beach will be open from seven in the morning to seven at night every day.
