Located on Mexico’s beautiful southwest Pacific coast, the city of Puerto Escondido is an untapped gem for those seeking recreation properties in the sun.
Chestermere-based Vivo Resorts has found success developing luxury oceanfront properties in this scenic getaway.
“Our first phase is complete. It’s an up-and-coming area — developing, but not over developed,” says sales and marketing director Chuck Ashton.
Vivo offers a mix of apartment-style condominiums and homes.
“Customers can buy a lot and we have an in-house custom home builder who will build them the villa of their dreams,” says Ashton.
Being an Alberta company adds a layer of security in buying international property, says Ashton.
“There’s no language barrier,” he says. “We make it easy for people to make their decisions, as well.”
That’s thanks to a Stay & Play program that offers potential buyers a chance to come down and spend a few days at Vivo Resorts’ property.
“It gives people a chance to get to know the development team — the general manager’s from Saskatchewan and lives down there; our president is from Chestermere,” says Ashton.
And then there’s the prices. Two-bedroom oceanview condos start at $209,000, and a range of floor plan options, from $79,000 studios to $600,000 penthouses, is available.
“Everything is full ownership,” says Ashton, adding there is an optional rental program.
On-site amenities include a main swimming pool with swim-up bar. Construction of a clubhouse with restaurant, bar and second pool is planned to start later this year.
