“Zipolite: nice place”

We sleep at Villa Escondida, a very nice place, 10 min walking from the beach, on the hill. The owner Giuliana is very friendly, the room are very cleaned and the garden is amazing.

Zipolite" get's under ones skin". Once experienced, it is never to be forgotten ! Zipolite is the perfect place to get away from all of the hectic craziness in the world, a place to slow waaaaaaaay down ...." down South". “Overpriced "Hippie" tourist trap”

It may have been a cool hippie place once. Now Zipolite is what happens to most places that are marketed "a hippie getaway" for some time, it becomes a tourist rip-off. In Mexican terms overpriced, average quality, appalling service and dirty. I don't expect fast service in Mexico, of course, but I have backpacked a lot, and I have never...

We arrived late at night, made the mistake of not getting the taxi to drop us off at our hotel. There is very little street lighting and we felt a little venerable.
