Initiative presented in Los Cabos to manage the second nudist beach in the country
Los Cabos, Baja California Sur (BCS). In a recent video posted on social media, Hector Martinez, a well-known Mexican nudist and activist, announced the submission of a formal request to the city council of Los Cabos. The request, addressed to the Tourism Department, seeks to manage the creation of the second nudist beach in Mexico. Currently, the only official nudist beach in the country is located in Zipolite, Oaxaca.
Martinez highlighted the economic potential of this initiative, arguing that turning Los Cabos into an international nudist destination could attract a large number of tourists. “The economic potential of this initiative is enormous and I would like the authorities to be open to this possibility ,” he said in his video.
Martinez's proposal is not only focused on economic benefits, but also on promoting a culture of acceptance and respect towards nudism. According to the activist, the creation of a new nudist beach in Los Cabos could encourage greater openness and understanding towards this practice, which is common in many European countries.
The activist also called on the local community and tourists to support this initiative. "We want to turn Los Cabos into the next international nudist destination," said Martinez, stressing the importance of having the support of society to achieve this goal.
The request submitted by Martínez is now in the hands of the authorities of Los Cabos, who will have to evaluate the possible impacts and benefits of this proposal. If approved, Los Cabos could become a new benchmark for nudist tourism in Mexico and the world.
