A little about Playa Zipolite, The Beach of the Dead . . .

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

🌊🛡️ The holiday period of #SemanaSanta2023 has begun on the beaches of San Pedro #Pochutla and to maintain the white balance achieved in previous seasons, during these dates of high tourist influx, lifeguards carry out training exercises in order to be prepared for any situation rescue. Elements of the Club Delfines de Zipolite Playa Nudista carry out these exercises under the command of their partner and Certified Open Water Rescue Instructor, Julio Cesar Reyes Luna, which strengthens the prevention and safety of locals and visitors who come to this destination beach. Your safety is the most important thing, so remember to follow the guidelines on the beach, as well as the recommendations of the Lifeguards and @Protección Civil Pochutla. In any emergency, dial 911.

🌊🛡️ Ha iniciado el periodo vacacional de #SemanaSanta2023 en playas de San Pedro #Pochutla y para mantener el saldo blanco logrado en temporadas anteriores, durante estas fechas de alta afluencia turística, guardavidas realizan ejercicios de adiestramiento con el fin de estar preparados ante cualquier situación de salvamento.
Elementos del Club Delfines de Zipolite Playa Nudista realizan estos ejercicios bajo el mando de su compañero e Instructor Certificado de Rescate en Aguas Abiertas, Julio Cesar Reyes Luna, con lo cual se fortalece la prevención y la seguridad de locales y visitantes que acuden a este destino de playa.
Tu seguridad es lo más importante, por ello recuerda atender los lineamientos en playa, así como las recomendaciones de los cuerpos de Salvavidas y @Protección Civil Pochutla.
