A little about Playa Zipolite, The Beach of the Dead . . .

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

If you are one of those people who like to walk along the beach as God brought them to the world, this is your golden opportunity because the nudist beach of Oaxaca will host a festival that will not require clothing. 
We talked about the Zipolite Nudist Festival , which for this edition of the festival, expects the arrival of at least 6 thousand people to this beach, say the organizers.
The nudist party will take place from January 31 to February 3, where you can enjoy an excellent temperature and get rid of prejudices. 
And although it is not mandatory to undress you, it is an option to explore yourself and let the sun's rays invade every corner of your body. 
During the event there will be activities without clothes such as: yoga classes , body paint, kite flying, karaoke, dinner, music and much more.

How much? Admission to the beach is free but some activities have a cost.
