June saw one of the largest hurricanes to hit Mexico this early in any previous hurricane season. Hurricane Erick, hit Mexico's Oaxaca coast on June 19th with winds reaching up to 145 mph at one point. Communities here experienced serious flooding and devastation and two deaths were reported. Mexican firefighters and first responders cross the border in Texas to help with search and rescue after the horrific floods that took place last week. “When it comes to firefighters, there’s no borders,” Ismael Aldaba, founder of Fundación 911, in Acuña, Mexico, told CNN on Tuesday. “There’s nothing that’ll avoid us from helping another firefighter, another family. It doesn’t matter where we’re at in the world.
