Authorities give details of hours and prohibited activities
This coronavirus contingency has affected the tourist centers and after two months of closings, the beaches of Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca have set the date to give tourists access.
Through a statement, authorities from Santa María Colotepec reported that as of June 3, the Principal Bay, El Marinero, Zicatela, Punta Zicatela, bays and beaches of Puerto Escondido will be open to the public because there were no Covid cases -19.
The hours will be from 6 to 9 in the morning. Permitted activities are surfing, paddle boarding, running, and swimming. In addition, they reiterate the healthy distance of two meters per person.
They even remind visitors that surfing, gathering, sitting, sunning, waiting for others, practicing frisbee, volleyball and going to bed are prohibited.
In their notice, the authorities exhort the population to respect the established schedule and after carrying out individual activities, they ask the walkers to stay at home.
ZIPOLITE ALSO REOPENS
This famous nudist beach will also reopen from June 1. But, they will only give access to local tourists and the Costa region.
In order to enter, visitors must show official identification that accredits them as residents of this coastal region of Oaxaca.
So far, authorities have not informed when they will give access to national and foreign tourism.
