ZIPOLITE, A QUIET BEACH AND FORGOTTEN IN MEXICO

Old hippies, young adventurers and locals coexist in harmony.

According to some, it means "place of snails" or even "beach of the dead" because legend has it that the Zapotec Indians buried their dead there. Weiner, who has tanned skin and a consistent uniform shorts and flip flops, and a great sense of humor, divides his time between Zipolite and California. It owns the hotel since 1997 and estimated that 50% of guests are people who have already been there.
