A little about Playa Zipolite, The Beach of the Dead . . .

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

I post WWW Oaxaca, Mexico, Zipolite and areas nearby information. Also general budget, backpacker, surfer, off the beaten path, Mexico and beyond, information.

REMEMBER: Everyone is welcome at Zipolite.

it be 10:18 pm, Wednesday evening.

I watched an episode of Alcatraz on the web. Creepy. I think I like the show.

I am cooking whole 5 lb chicken. Stuffed. Still will not be ready for 1 hr 15 minutes.

I went to Moses Lake Sunday. Walmart had a HDTV/ ... 32 inch for $198.00 plus tax ...

I have it hooked up to my IBM Think Pad. Works very good with fiber optic. Alcatraz was very intriguing. I still have three episodes online at Fox.com to watch. My new computer sound system is very good. Sometimes the walls rattle a little bit.

A couple days ago a old friend of mine on this small world of ours asked me how I truss a chicken I cook. Gawd! It smells so good right now. A good day.

I just basted at 1 1/2 hour mark with bacon grease, and sage.

I will baste again at 2 h 45 minute with bacon grease an a little chicken bouillon on top ... cook another 45 minutes maybe. ... we see. I am roasting at 350 F.

I stuffed with a new recipe. Reminder lesson on trussing a chicken...so I trussed. Added the ordeal to my blog spot... link below.

Used my new carbon steel pan with nice rack...smells so good, I want to eat now.

    :)
