A little about Playa Zipolite, The Beach of the Dead . . .

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

I post WWW Oaxaca, Mexico, Zipolite and areas nearby information. Also general budget, backpacker, surfer, off the beaten path, Mexico and beyond, information.

REMEMBER: Everyone is welcome at Zipolite.

Edwin Fierros Studio Art · Look, I just finished this work that was being created in my mind, almost always and until today I finished it. I want to share photos and a brief description of my interpretation of an ocelot or margay. Looking for hummingbirds (in the last photo you will know why) 馃悊Sand/ marble/ acrylic/ pigment 馃悊 60cm x 70cm 馃悊 Edwin Fierros Studio Art 馃悊2023 馃悊Available The ocelot that sees me A being that had big and beautiful eyes, abundant fur and a face that caused something in my heart, that made it beat more and that sent messages to my body to vibrate with its breath. That being came like a swallow to sing in my dark night, it came like a firefly to illuminate my path in a night of absent stars and it came like a big cloud to show me many figures, just when I looked at the sky, and when I saw the shapes It took me to navigate through time, a party of fantastic insects danced above me and that's how I entertained myself. I thought that my pareidolia took me by the hand and led me to create it, give it life, but no, because when I lowered my face, I saw how it lay down in the mountains and let me see its profile, how it camouflaged itself in the leaves and with the flowers. he blinked, then the shapeless things he molded to fit. Now that I close my eyes, I see him floating like a mysterious being, then I open them and I can't help but smile. I see him, I feel him when he flutters in my stomach, when I sing to him softly I can hear him and he lives when I happily grab the raw inks and old brushes. I can feel him right in the afternoon with the winds that comb my hair, when the stones tickle my feet and when the dust of a golden moth falls on each of his spots to make him shine, I can taste him with honey, which Together with the ants I have breakfast on the fruits and with the seeds of my afternoons. You are here full of colors, full of hope, faith and many forms. Free and strong with an ocelot that runs with gold among the mount. edwin fierros
