Oaxaca.-Como cada fin de año Zipolite se viste de gala celebrando la vida a traves de un ritual donde todas las religiones y filosofias se juntan entre danzas prehispanicas y humo de copal.

 

Desde hace 43 años, Gloria Hope, visionaria, quien fuera pionera y defensora de tierras en los años 70 en Zipolite y quien ya tracendio recientemente comentaba el origen de tal celebracion:

"Nuestra celebración es una hermosa ceremonia de limpia espiritual.

Nuestro verdadero ser es un espíritu puro y en esta noche tratamos de dar su expresión total en una hermandad, unidos en amor y paz.

Esta es una ofrenda a DIOS: La Inteligencia Divina.

Hemos elegido la esencia de cada filosofía y religión del mundo, pues cada una de ellas tiene su verdad la cual respetamos.

El símbolo de nuestra alma es una flor y la entregamos al fuego con todo lo negativo que llevamos dentro en forma de árbol de la vida que construiremos en la celebración"

 

Este año es espécial el agradecimiento ya que el huracan "Agata" causo muchos daños en el lugar  y su reconstrucción fue reaimente un gran esfuerzo, gracias al apoyo de Maria quien heredo la tradicion y su equipo han logrado resurgir de entre los escombros este icónico lugar.

 

Provinientes de diferentes lugares guardianes e invitados vestidos de blanco se reunen en la loma de meditacion entre coronas y ramos de flores que representan las malas energias acumuladas en el año y que en este dia se liberan y armonizan la celebracion al caer la tarde.

 

Despues de agradecer por un año mas a través de canticos y el sonido del caracol, la comitiva se reune al final en la páya shambhala donde con una gran fogata rodeada de tambores y ocarinas diversos danzantes del pais festejan el inicio del año nuevo con bailes y cantos esperando el nuevo amanecer en esta paradisiaca playa de Zipolite.

Oaxaca.-Like every New Year's Eve, Zipolite dresses up celebrating life through a ritual where all religions and philosophies come together between pre-Hispanic dances and copal smoke.

 

For 43 years, Gloria Hope, visionary, who was a pioneer and defender of lands in the 70s in Zipolite and who has recently transcended commented on the origin of such a celebration:

"Our celebration is a beautiful spiritual cleansing ceremony.

Our true being is a pure spirit and tonight we try to give its full expression in a brotherhood, united in love and peace.

This is an offering to GOD: Divine Intelligence.

We have chosen the essence of each philosophy and religion in the world, since each one of them has its truth which we respect.

The symbol of our soul is a flower and we deliver it to the fire with all the negative that we carry inside in the form of a tree of life that we will build in the celebration."

 

This year the gratitude is special since the hurricane "Agata" caused a lot of damage to the place and its reconstruction was really a great effort, thanks to the support of Maria who inherited the tradition and her team have managed to resurface this iconic place from the rubble .

 

Guardians and guests from different places dressed in white meet on the hill for meditation among wreaths and bouquets of flowers that represent the bad energies accumulated in the year and that on this day are released and harmonize the celebration at sunset.

 

After giving thanks for another year through songs and the sound of the snail, the procession meets at the end in the paya shambhala where, with a large bonfire surrounded by drums and ocarinas, various dancers from the country celebrate the beginning of the new year with dances and songs waiting for the new dawn in this paradisiacal beach of Zipolite.
