Budget, Backpackers, Surfers, Beach Lovers, Naturalist, Hippie, Sun and Sand worshipers, Off the Beaten Path Paradise! Everyone is welcome at Zipolite!
Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before. Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.I post WWW Oaxaca, Mexico, Zipolite and areas nearby information. Also general budget, backpacker, surfer, off the beaten path, Mexico and beyond, information.REMEMBER: Everyone is welcome at Zipolite.ivan

#HistoriaSinTold Seen on the internetAt some point on the trip back to Mexico City they decided to make a stop between the State of Mexico and Puebla since they had been told the legend of Popocatépetl and Iztaccihuatl so they decided to detour to know that place.During their walk they passed by the village of Tepetlixpa where one of the guides proposed to stop for a rest and a bite to eat, so they accept.Soon a regional band by the name of La Banda Plastica de Tepetlixpa appears performing some of the most popular tracks from The Beatles.According to Jose M. Silva director of the band says that during that time the Beatles were offered mole, pulque, nopales and totops as part of the celebration.Time later in 1971 La Banda Plastica De Tepetlixpa released a curious album titled "Goodbye to the Beatles" which consists of 10 covers of the popular group performed by that band.To date there is only this photo and the humble testimony of some villagers who claim to have seen the members of the Liverpool quartet around that area but outside of that there is no evidence of that visit of the Beatles to our country.Whether true or false this alleged Beatles visit is worth listening to this album at least once, it may not be one of the best tributes made to this group, but you can feel the humility and affection with which it was done, plus it is very interesting to hear how the songs adapted to the regional/folkloric genre of our country.Album here --> https://www.youtube.com/playlist...
