December 8 saint of the second largest in Mexico Virgin is celebrated, I speak of the Virgin of Juquila. That's what I talk me 56 Don Erminio a good man who gave me the ride of Cintapala, Chiapas to Salina Cruz, Oaxaca. When I thought I would be camping in that part seemed Don Erminio angel I had seen two foreign backpackers asking ride but do not get up in there were two. Well apparently I was lucky; it turns out that Don Erminio always wanted to travel the way as do many travelers; I realized that I wanted to buy a bike and tour the Mexican Republic but I can not do it at 18. I go to work in the administration of the Mexican Navy and started a family. Interestingly his work currently allowed to travel throughout the Republic what yearning young.
At 7 am I got up to leave San Cristobal de las Casas, I was again in "La Terraza hostel" My plan was to stay 10 days but this magical town do not know what the fuck is that no'mas not let you go, you traps and so on until you decide to stay. According to the trip I was quick to pay a collective of San Cristobal to Tuxtla at $ 40 pesos for my bad luck that day had blockages in Tuxtla and Arriaga; In Tuxtla take the "Rabbit bus" $ 6 pesos and me off at the last stop called "Carretos". As he saw it was going to take slow ride to Cintapala had to pay $ 50 pesos. In Cintalapa pay a bus that leaves you on the edge of town pay $ 6 pesos (the collective is called Boulevard, technological). Anyway, take more than one hour waiting for the sky is clouded, the sun rose and a half chipi chipi.
It was the road "The Windy"
Road, La windy, Oaxaca
That was how I met Don Erminio who came from Tuxtla an errand, he had told her he was going to Arriaga but when I said Salinas Cruz will not hesitate to give good talk on the way. We talked about his life, work and many things. He stopped for gas and tells me - Have you eaten? - Because I'll eat -. I said no; but Don Erminio insisted and good to refuse for a plate of food. Ribs with vegetables, rice, beans and some DELICIOUS CORN TORTILLA handmade Oaxaca known as distinguished a coke came to me as water gods. It also had blockage in booths Arriaga and as Don Erminio knew that road and avoid hours of waiting we went hiding in the Oaxacan mountains, with names in Zapotec and majestic trees laden with mangoes we go across villages road. Maël had told me about this "The Windy" carretra as there are 160km winds have turned more than a heavy truck, and just going to spend a portion of the road;Don Erminio told me I was not strong wind but seeing the wind fans was as futuristic landscapes could not say how many had but they were a shitload!
At 5:30 or so I came to Salinas Cruz, my next stop was to get to Huatulco had to pay $ 100 pesos up there for 3 hours pppffff! ... The scenery you see during the trip to Huatulco is BEAUTIFUL! the mountains and the Pacific together is beauty in its resplendor. I came to Huatulco and took a bus that will take me to Pochutla $ 25 pesos, which told the driver I had $ 20 : D
Streets of the town of Zipolite
Main Street "Adoquini"
In Pochutla I arrived at 10pm there was no transportation to Zipolite, I do not stay another to walk the cruise and waiting for a taxi that I refused to pay and attempt to ride at that hour of the night; a good guy gave me the ride to Zipolite. He was a town Puerto Angel is 10 minutes from Zipolite; asked How many municipalities have Oaxaca? to which the boy replied - Approximately 500 municipalities but "When a state has fewer municipalities more they are united" -. I started recommending beaches, places to go dancing and mushrooms until I try hahaha. Actually I'm not very fond of the beaches, I went for so much I had talked the place. Do not have much time because it really was a pass through this part of the coast. It turns out that arrived at 11pm to Zipolite first thing I saw was a HIPPIES environment and artisans everywhere including my French friend Dany's what was hearing from Playa del Carmen a year ago.
Zipolite is a small town on the Pacific coast of Mexico, joined the municipality of San Pedro Pochutla. It is located 230 kilometers from the city of Oaxaca, the state capital. He acquired the name of population in 1970, because until then only living in the area some families scattered around. It is the most famous nude beach in Mexico. It has an approximate population of 1,000 people, although this figure is higher due to both internal and external tourism.
The name of Zipolite has many versions about the origin of the name and the strongest is that in Zapotec means "beach of the dead" . The name comes from the legend that the Zapotecs buried their dead here, bringing them from tens and even hundreds of miles away. Other studies have not yet said means certificates instead of snails .The beach sand is fine and white, describing a crescent along its entire length. The surf is medium to strong in all seasons, prevailing waves and strong underwater currents in the rainy season. One of the highlights of the beach in Zipolite is your tolerance for nudity. Before nudism is limited to both ends of the beach, Love in the East and another small beach to the west (Alchemist / Shambala side). Today and more nudity is across the beach, also families with children.Perhaps the most tolerant attitude of some hotel on the beach. The indigenous languages spoken in this area is the Zapotec and Chatino yet the people residing foreigners speaking Italian, English, French and German.
Locals live from domestic and foreign tourism; such as fishing, cooking ranges and rental houses reaches far as selling the good artisan craftsmanship that's what most saw.I think the locals to some extent is tired of the chaos, the environment we live in town, so I could see the phenomenon. Obviously it is their source of income "Tourism" but reminded me so much of Playa del Carmen but small. I think that within 20 years it can get to make another beach.
The theme of NUDE in Zipolite is so NORMAL tourists and residents for me was a subject of curiosity, was the first time I was on a nude beach had heard so much of this I had to see it with my eyes. The alien has an open as normal but still taboo Mexican our mind that is done makes us stranger off the dime ahead of others. ¿Walk naked on the beach? DO NOT! hahaha unfortunately I chose this taboo and better observe the freedom of others.
I was only two days in the village, the first thing they told me was "Watch your stuff stolen here", you can camp for $ 20 pesos at the beach, the good vibes of the local people and artisans. A hippie atmosphere which to me is much hahaha although I am also breathes. What was to enjoy the chic @ s and surfers since waves of 3 meters is done and in other part of the Oaxacan coast waves of 10 meters; say there is a small Australian community in this part of the beach.
