A little about Playa Zipolite, The Beach of the Dead . . .

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

I post WWW Oaxaca, Mexico, Zipolite and areas nearby information. Also general budget, backpacker, surfer, off the beaten path, Mexico and beyond, information.

REMEMBER: Everyone is welcome at Zipolite.

Huatulco International Airport – Expansion Update

Progress is definitely showing at the Huatulco International airport, where the $26 million dollar expansion project consists of widening and lengthening the runway to receive flights from Europe and expanding the terminal to double the amount of check-in desks.  Once complete the expanded airport will have a capacity to carry out 22 operations per hour.

Check out some updated pictures of the project as well as some renderings of the soon to be finished product.

Hello, checate vivaerobus prices can sometimes find in 750 easy to Huatulco or Puerto Escondido and from there take a truck 40 to Pochutla checado vivaeroubus now I have so little time but would be worth, considered to be more or least 10 hours driving (for acapulco because Oaxaca is crazy) and that takes away almost two days.
I will be over there, see if we put together something.

That such a band,
all I want to discourage a visit to such a beautiful place, but it will have about 15 days to return vdd Mazunte and I have really wanted to go back, but still do not think is very viable q go by car, by the available days perhaps maybe take turns driving and yet I find it a little heavy, I went to Oaxaca and made almost 12 hours for warrior saves you much, maybe a couple of hours but you pay more for houses and gasoline. A Mazunte, zipo, San Agustinillo, safe return in late January, in case anyone wants to go we go in my car and save on costs ... but this bridge ire to somewhere closer, if anyone can recommend a beach Tecolutla, Emerald Coast and budget accommodation is the much grateful. (with phone to book if you can) If you persist in wanting to go to them zipo q I recommend going to a beach near q is called Angel pto Ixtaca Huite, very nice, like pool, no waves, for snorkeling and spend a very comfortable. "What you give what you give, what you do not give it off. .
