SEP reports more than 40 schools damaged by the passage of Hurricane Agatha on the coast of Oaxaca
The Secretary of Education, Delfina Gómez, reported that tables will be established to coordinate the rehabilitation, reconstruction or relocation of the affected schools.
Oaxaca de Juárez.- The Ministry of Public Education (SEP) announced that there are more than 40 damaged schools in the areas most affected by the passage of Hurricane Agatha, in the Oaxaca Coast region.
On her second day of tours of the affected areas, the Secretary of Public Education, Delfina Gómez Álvarez, said that it is also known that damages have not been attended to in school buildings derived from the 2017 earthquakes in various areas of Pochutla, Santa Maria Tonameca, Puerto Angel and Santa Maria Huatulco.
“Damage to school buildings will be dealt with based on a traffic light of damages, and in accordance with the daily reports of the educational and civil protection authorities of the three orders of government, to guarantee the attention of the communities that register the most mishaps” , said the institution in a statement.

Las llamas iniciaron en el hotel “Nude”, pero se extendieron a las palapas que rodean la zona.

Oaxaca, Oax.- La presidenta municipal de San Pedro Pochutla, Saymi Pineda Velasco, confirmó que este martes se registró un incendio ocurrido en Zipolite, en la zona de hoteles y palapas frente al mar.
Esta playa perteneciente a Pochutla, es conocida por ser una de las playas nudistas de México.
A las 16:00 horas de este martes, el director de la Policía Municipal y Vialidad de Pochutla, Cirilo Martínez Borjas, recibió reporte del incendio de un hotel de esta zona turística de la costa oaxaqueña.
De acuerdo con las autoridades, el siniestro comenzó en el hotel “Nude”, al parecer por un corto circuito. Sin embargo, debido a la intensidad de las llamas, éstas se propagaron al hotel “Naked”, dado que ambos inmuebles cuentan con techos de palma y madera.
El fuego también afectó alrededor de 10 palapas que se ubican en esta playa nudista, por lo que trabajadores tuvieron que desalojar el lugar.
Elementos de Protección Civil, Bomberos, personal de la Sedena y choferes de pipas de agua, se trasladaron al lugar para sofocar el incendio, quedando liquidado a las 19:00 horas.
Cabe mencionar que este destino turístico internacional fue afectado severamente por el paso del huracán ‘Ágatha’, y este incendio agravó las pérdidas económicas para los prestadores de servicios en esta zona.
