Una de las más concurridas es Zipolite, ubicada justo entre Huatulco y Puerto Escondido.

“Zipolite es una playa muy tranquila y pues la neta el ambiente está muy padre, pues bueno como se puede ver hay muchas personas que vienen de vacaciones”, explicó Walter German, turista.

“El ambiente aquí en Zipololite es muy relajado, muy divertido, puedes venir a relajarte, a pasarla bien familia, con amigos”, señaló Astrid Alvarado, turista.

Durante las vacaciones de Semana Santa, a Zipolite llegaron miles de personas a pasar los días de descanso en familia o con amigos.

Pero muchos más seguirán llegando a lo largo de la Semana de Pascua.

Es un lugar ideal para relajarse y desconectarse del mundo.

“Es un lugar tranquilo, nadie se mete con nadie, pues está bien ¿no? está a gusto”, aseguró Shanty, turista.

“Tenemos turismo de todas las partes de la república, así como de la región, también contamos con extranjeros, mucho extranjero que corre del frío ahorita están aquí en Zipolite y pues la verdad que bueno, hay una afluencia turística muy buena”, detalló Reginaldo del Ángel García, capitán de Salvavidas en Zipolite.

Zipolite es considerado un destino ecoturístico, porque no tiene grandes desarrollos hoteleros, pero sí pequeños complejos turísticos con todas las comodidades y servicios, para recibir a visitantes de cualquier parte del mundo.

San Pedro Pochutla, Oax.- Para apoyar a los paseantes que visitan los destinos turísticos de San Pedro Pochutla; elementos de Protección Civil y Salvavidas de Zipolite instalan en las playas diversas señaléticas.Como parte de un programa organizado entre bomberos, salvavidas en coordinación con Protección Civil Municipal, en las playas de San Pedro Pochutla se están colocando señaléticas, tanto informativas como preventivas.

Debido a algunos acontecimientos recientes en la que un turista se cayera de un acantilado y por los golpes recibidos perdió la vida; además de formar parte de un programa de seguridad; las corporaciones de rescate realizan la señalización.

Lo anterior para resguardar la vida de los paseantes y hacer conciencia entre los habitantes y visitantes ya sean de nacionalidad mexicana o extranjera.

Seguridad y prevención es responsabilidad de todos

Entre los participantes y conocedores del lugar; salvavidas del grupo Delfines de Zipolite de manera activa ubicaron las señaléticas, asimismo, hacen hincapié sobre la “seguridad y prevención es responsabilidad de todos”.

Al respeto, José Luna Nery, director de Protección Civil Municipal comentó que “estamos restableciendo señales restrictivas e informativas de acuerdo a los lugares, en peñascos, para no tirar basura en la playa, restricciones para los perros; códigos de banderas, la roja, la amarilla”, informó.

Por su parte, Reginaldo del Ángel, capitán de Salvavidas del grupo Delfines reconoció “el trabajo importante para la comunidad, ya que es un destino turístico a nivel mundial y con esto se evita accidentes en las rocas; el código de banderas, respetar el señalamiento, prohibido nadar, el señalamiento de las heces fecales de las mascotas y otros como el no tirar basura para mantener una playa limpia y todo esto le va a dar una mejor imagen a Zipolite”, comentó.

Señalización, programa de prevención

La señalización en las playas forma parte del proyecto de señalización de prevención de Tzunamis en Zipolite y Puerto Ángel; hace unos meses, junto con prestadores de servicios y corporaciones de emergencias y rescate; Protección Civil presentó dicho programa para estar prevenidos en caso de Tsunamis en la Costa.

Ya se hicieron recorridos y se identificaron lugares de la franja costera que son susceptibles a tsunamis de origen local.

El proyecto abarca información, identificación de zonas y los quehaceres a realizar en las poblaciones.

Prevención al peligro; lee las recomendaciones

En la zona de playas y peñasco es para reforzar las medidas de prevención, se colocaron banderines y señaléticas que informan a turistas y lugareños qué hacer en caso de que el oleaje se intensifique y para no meterse a nadar.

Cabe señalar que la señalética preventiva en Zipolite y otros lugares fue donada por el gobierno municipal y su colocación fue realizada por personal de Protección Civil y salvavidas.
Protección Civil Municipal y Salvavidas piden a los paseantes hacer caso a las señaléticas dispuestas en la demarcación de cada uno de los centros vacacionales ya que hacer caso omiso es la principal causa de emergencias ocurridas en las playas.

“Es importante, que si se acude a las playas o a cualquier otro lugar que no conocemos, se debe tomar en cuenta las recomendaciones, tómese unos minutos para leer las indicaciones colocadas en cada uno de los anuncios para evitar accidentes”.

“Cada una de las señaléticas y banderas muestran las zonas de riesgo, sobre todo si es pertinente nadar”, comentaron.

Las banderas en las playas
Bandera Verde: acceso libre a la playa, tomando precausiones debidas.
Bandera amarilla: puedes entrar tomando precausiones mayores.
Bandera roja: prohibido entrar a la playa.

The Surprising Place You Can Now Get TSA PreCheck

The next time you are picking up extra printer ink or paper clips at office supply giant Staples, you can also take a few minutes to sign up for TSA PreCheck. Starting this summer, the retailer will bring enrollment centers to about 50 of its stores in partnership with the security firm IDEMIA. The IdentoGO enrollment centers will initially appear in the Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, and Seattle markets with plans to scale further into other metro areas later in the year. 

Staples to Offer TSA PreCheck Enrollment at 50 Stores Across the U.S.

TSA PreCheck allows approved travelers access to dedicated priority screening lanes and an efficient screening experience at over 200 U.S. airports. In addition to the priority screening lanes, PreCheck members do not need to remove belts, laptops, liquids, jackets, and footwear as they pass through airport security. TSA PreCheck is valid for five years, and the enrollment fee is $85, which breaks down to just $17 per year to fast lane past the often snaking security lines. In my opinion, money well spent.

Alongside the enrollment centers, IdentoGO will offer Staples shoppers certified birth certificates and passport photos. In a press release, Staples Chief Merchandising Officer, Peter Scala added: "Staples constantly looks for new ways to help businesses succeed, including making it easy for them to travel."

This announcement couldn't have come at a better time as the summer travel swell approaches. The option offered by Staples eliminates the one significant hang up that many people had with signing up for the program. Finding the time set up an in-person interview, which mostly had to be done at the airport and was often backlogged for months.

According to TSA PreCheck website, in April 2018, 92% of passengers enrolled in the program waited less than five minutes to pass through security. Last week the program added six additional airlines, including Porter, SAS, and Condor Airlines expanding the number of airlines participating in the program to 52 carriers. If you’re a frequent flyer and haven’t signed up for PreCheck yet drop into your local Staples this summer and enroll. The time you'll save in the long run will be well worth the 85 bucks.

United Airlines will cut service to a few destinations in Mexico this year due to a decline in demand, but will beef up a few flights too.

The airline announced yesterday it will eliminate its Mexico City-Los Angeles service on October 4.

It will also cut flights this summer to the Pacific coast resort towns of Huatulco, Oaxaca, and Mazatlán, Sinaloa, and to Villahermosa, Tabasco.

In addition, a Saturday flight between Mexico City and Denver will end June 23, and service between Mexico City and Houston will be cut by one frequency.The airline will drop two daily flights between León, Guanajuato, and Los Angeles in October.

However, United will increase flights on two other routes and add one new one.

Starting October 4, it will fly three times daily between Newark, New Jersey, and Mexico City, up from twice a day, and open a route connecting Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport with León.

The airline will increase service to four times a day between Querétaro and Houston, and on December 19 will begin flying a larger, 76-seat aircraft between the Texas city and San Luis Potosí.

“While our Mexico network remains strong, customer demand on certain routes has declined and service to some markets is unsustainable,” United said. “We continue to closely monitor demand for travel in the region and look for new flying opportunities for our customers.”

The airline said it has doubled its passenger capacity between the two nations over the last decade, and remains committed to Mexico.
