 Meet “Maravilla”  This beautiful girl was abandoned in Colonia Guadalupe, on the outskirts of San Pedro Pochutla, Oaxaca. She was found wandering from house to house, desperately searching for food. She’s painfully thin, covered in ticks, and clearly hasn’t had an easy life… But she is going to be okay now.

This Tuesday, she will be sterilized with our vet Christian in Zipolite, and we’re looking for sponsors to help cover her spay surgery, which costs 500 pesos (29 USD). Every peso makes a difference when you’re rescuing animals with limited resources.

Maravilla also urgently needs a forever home once she has recovered and is fully healthy. She looks like a Belgian Shepherd mix and has so much potential to become an incredible companion.

Right now, my house has become a rehabilitation center, and we are running out of space. Rescue work on the Oaxaca coast is overwhelming, but dogs like Maravilla deserve a second chance.
