From February 6 to 8, 2026  , Zipolite will vibrate with art, music, gastronomy and activities for the whole family in the second edition of the   MANCHA Arts Festival  , an initiative that seeks to consolidate this iconic beach of Oaxaca also as a cultural reference of the Mexican Pacific.

“We want people to stay longer, to discover that Zipolite is much more than just partying and nudism,” explains   Cheram Morales  , director and curator of   175 Uno Siete Cinco Galería de Arte Actual  , the driving force behind the festival. And the numbers back up this strategy: the 2025 Nudist Encounter generated an economic impact of   26.7 million pesos  . MANCHA aims to extend that stay with a powerful cultural offering.

What to expect at MANCHA 2026?

  • Exhibition of   30 national and international artists   (in 2023 there were only 7!)
  • Concerts, performances and activities in hotels, restaurants and public spaces
  • Children's workshops and gastronomic experiences
  • Interventions in the renovated   Art Walkway  , formerly a forgotten place and now one of the most photographed sites in Zipolite

Open and free call for artists

Attention creators! The call for entries remains open until  Friday, December 5, 2025.  The selected participants will be announced on December 19. Best of all:  participation is 100% free  , which is rare for festivals of this size.

"Normally, artists pay to exhibit. We want the opposite: for them to come, show their work, and together we can grow art on the coast," says Cheram Morales.

A change of perspective

The festival also seeks to demystify stereotypes. Zipolite is no longer just “the beach where anything goes.” Thanks to projects like the 175 Uno Siete Cinco gallery (the first contemporary art gallery in the area) and the Art Walkway, today there are families strolling, open galleries, and murals that illuminate the night.

"Before, that walkway was dark and unsafe. Today it is full of life and a different kind of visitor," says  Lunnia Campaña  , the project's administrative director.

Full support from the community and authorities

Hotels such as  Naked  ,  CAMP  ,  Casa Mexoni  , and  Ballelita  , restaurants like  Tap Room La Deliria  , and eco-friendly brands like  Desplastifícate  have already confirmed their support. The municipality of San Pedro Pochutla and the Municipal Agency of Zipolite also back the initiative, repeating their successful collaboration from the 2025 Mural Festival.
