Lunes 31 de enero desde las dos de la tarde, dan aviso que en playa Carrizalillo, Coral y Bacocho, de Puerto Escondido hay presencia de medusas azules (Fragata portuguesa), por lo que deben evitar introducirse al agua, ya que la "picadura" de esta especie provoca mucho ardor.

La presencia de esta especie se da en esta época en que el agua esta fría.

Corran la voz, para evitar que el turismo se exponga.
