The agency reported that the quake was centered off the coast of Oaxaca in the municipality of Pinotepa Nacional with a magnitude of 4.9.

The president said security protocols and supervision were activated by Civil Protection and the Ministry of State Security to assess damage. The quake was located 15 km southwest of the town of Pinotepa Nacional.

A third quake was of magnitude 4.0, in epicentral region 23 km west of Pinotepa Nacional, at 22:53 hours.

"So far it has no report of damages in the states , " he added. Seismic alarms are not lit up since the quake was mild, and did not reach the programmed threshold.
