How to get there

We are close to various bus terminals in the town and can give information on all bus lines and destinations.

Generally speaking, turn west, go down hill towards ocean, cross highway at the crucero (the intersection with the traffic light), keep going down one small block, big Mayflower sign on the left side, turn left at the sign and walk 200 meters to end of street.

Lonely Planet Review

The popular and friendly Mayflower, beside a flight of steps leading up from El Adoquín, is a sociable hotel-cum-hostel and all kept very clean. The nine fan-cooled dorms each hold four to seven people (in beds and bunks), and there are 16 attractive private rooms with bathrooms and small balconies. Rates include use of a kitchen with fridge and microwave. There are semi-open sitting areas, a billiard table, lockers and luggage storage facilities. An HI card brings a 10% discount.

Hostelworld Description

The Mayflower Hotel and Youth Hostel is a cozy place with a very international crowd. We can communicate in English, Spanish, French and German.

We are located close to the beach, night life and restaurants, and within easy walking distance from the bus terminals. Laundry service across the street.

The 3-story building has rooms with balconies and views of the ocean. The hotel has 14 rooms with ceiling fans and private baths. The Youth Hostel has 3 dorm rooms with ceiling fans. A 5-room house on the hotel property accommodates 18 people, dorm style. Hot water is available 24 hours a day and purified drinking water is provided. We have a communal kitchen for the convenience of all our guests, where you can prepare your catch of the day. Our bar has been relocated and reopened.

We can give you helpful tips on bus and air connections. Assistance is available for unexpected needs such as finding a doctor in case of a medical emergency, or helping out if you should lose your money, etc.
