Oaxaca.- The high prices charged by tourist service providers in Zipolite are causing them to be left without attendees. Far from benefiting from the completion of the Highway to the Coast, they have been affected.
In the middle of the peak tourist season that includes the months of February and March, the beach, restaurants and bars are deserted, when in previous years the tourist influx was quite large.
Previously, there were several hippie people and the prices were really very low, this undoubtedly attracted tourism, making it a place affordable for anyone.
However, after the completion of the Coastal Highway, tourists reported that prices had risen, hippies have begun to leave and so have tourists.
Zipolite is no longer a vacation option, tourists prefer to go to nearby beaches where they are well treated, therefore, it is time for tourism service providers to think about lowering their prices.
