As the only rescue organization in and around Puerto Angel, I'm the person that everyone calls when an animal needs help.
As the only rescue organization in and around Puerto Angel, I'm the person that everyone calls when an animal needs help.
So today, I followed up on a call about a feral dog and her 6 puppies living in the bushes behind a hotel in Puerto Angel.
We had to climb under heavy trash bins to grab the pups and move them to a cleaner space.
The pups are eating solids and need to find a home fast before they too become feral.
But to do that we need to at least sterilize and deworm them.
The cheapest local vet charges 500 pesos (25 USD) to sterilize one animal and treat them for external and internal parasites.
Please consider sponsoring one of these six pups or their mom. We've set up a dog trap and are hoping to catch the mom this afternoon!
