The Jaguar, vision and interpretation by Edwin Fierros Studio Arte The jaguar is the only big cat in the Americas and the third largest in the world, after tigers and lions. They are very similar to leopards, which live in Africa and Asia, but jaguars' spots are more complex and often have a dot in the center. Antiguamente, en muchas culturas sudamericanas, estos imponentes felinos eran adorados como dioses, y existen representaciones del jaguar en el arte y la arqueología de las culturas precolombinas.
