Si no me conoces, soy Claudia y tengo una pequeña organización sin fines de lucro Dogs of Puerto Angel que ayuda a perros y gatos en la costa de Oaxaca. A pesar de mi trabajo como maestra de ingles, uso mi tiempo libre para ofrecer campañas de esterilización. En menos de un año, he esterilizado a más de 850 perros y gatos. También rescato y rehabilito animales de la calle. No puedo hacer este trabajo voluntario sin el apoyo de la comunidad.
El veterinario en la zona cobra 500 pesos por esterilizar hembras y 400 pesos por machos. Si deseas ver menos animales callejeros sufriendo en la calle, consideres donar para la esterilización o el tratamiento veterinario de un animal.
Aqui se muestra solo una de las muchas cosas que hago cada fin de semana para ayudar a la comunidad y sus mascotas.

I'm asking you for a donation and this is why:
This past weekend, I met with people who cried with me about their beloved dogs that were dying: one from parvo-virus and the other from sudden inexplicable convulsions. These are people who love their pets dearly but who don't have the finances to cover their vet bills.
They pleaded for help believing that I was their only hope to save their pets. And I couldn't turn my back on them.
I spent 160 pesos (8 USD) on Aquiles, the gorgeous 10-month old Belgium Shepard, but before I could do more he tragically passed away.
Now, I'm helping Ossito overcome parvo. I've spent 600 pesos on Immunest and another 1000 pesos on 4 ongoing vet treatments that could save his life (80 USD).
I've used my own personal funds to help these dogs (and others), but on my humble teacher's salary, I honestly can't afford to do it.
With these costs, as well as a hefty 4000 peso vet bill (200 USD) - a large portion owing to the 5 feral dogs I recently trapped and had sterilized to help the community - I would so appreciate some financial help.
I do this volunteer work for free because I truly believe in my cause to help the local animals and the community. The costs I've listed here go 100% to the local vets.
