Несмотря на печальную славу, туристы обожают это место.

Живописный пляж Сиполите в Мексике давно
снискал себе неоднозначную славу. Сиполите
— это полтора километра белоснежного песка,
чистого и теплого моря и красивой природы.
Это место пользуется большой популярностью
у любителей беззаботного отдыха: чаще
всего тут можно встретить хиппи и нудистов,
а веселье тут, кажется, не прекращается никогда.

Несмотря на это, Сиполите известен и совсем по
другой причине. Он признан одним из самых
опасных пляжей в мире — и отнюдь не из-за отдыхающих.

Название Сиполите означает «берег мертвых»:
ежегодно тут тонут люди. Виной тому
сильнейшие подводные течения, с которыми
не в силах справиться даже опытные пловцы.
Течения особенно опасны в летний период.
По всему пляжу расставлены многочисленные
таблички-предупреждения, а особо опасные
территории ограждены лентами. Но даже
присутствие таких знаков и спасателей не
защищает людей от гибели.

Здесь ежегодно погибают отдыхающие, но эта
печальная статистика не мешает приезжать на
пляж многочисленным туристам.
