Great place for cocktails and spotting nudists
Zipolite is a 15 minute collectivo ride up the coast from San Agonstinillo and is a more established hippy community.
It is famous for nude bathing, which is particularly prevalent at the end of the beach closest to Mazunte.
Nestled behind a set of rocks which separates the main beach from a little cove is El Alquimista, a beautiful hotel, restaurant and bar.
With tables and beach loungers on the beach, this is a great spot to soak up the sun or hide under an umbrella while watching the locals strut their stuff.
It's debateable whether seeing the locals in the all-together will increase your appetite or convince you to hit the cocktails harder but they offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions...
The food here is a little more expensive than the norm but it is all served in a friendly and proffessional way and is delicious.
There is a hotel out the back which I can't comment on too much, but it looks particularly plush and exciting.
