A little about Playa Zipolite, The Beach of the Dead . . .

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, on the Pacific Ocean. A little bit about my favorite little get-away on this small world of ours.

Zipolite, a sweaty 30-minute walk west from Puerto Angel, brings you to Playa Zipolite and another world. The feeling here is 1970's - Led Zep, Marley, and scruffy gringos.

A long, long time ago, Zipolite beach was usually visited by the Zapotecans...who made it a magical place. They came to visit Zipolite to meditate, or just to rest.

Recently, this beach has begun to receive day-trippers from Puerto Angel and Puerto Escondido, giving it a more TOURISTY feel than before.

Most people come here for the novelty of the nude beach, yoga, turtles, seafood, surf, meditation, vegetarians, discos, party, to get burnt by the sun, or to see how long they can stretch their skinny budget.

He started the sixth meeting of Latin American Nudism in Zipolite beach in Oaxaca, an area two kilometers regarded as unique in the world because some nudity in its most natural expression is allowed without penalty.

The intent of this nudist meeting is to reposition this beach resort where live millions of swimmers throughout the year and around the world.

The president of the foundation nudist Mexico, Juan Carlos Castaneda said Zipolite is synonymous with freedom and the only beach in Mexico where they can come to enjoy.

He also said authorities are supporting us with security on the beach to be here.

"We do not worry because we have limits, we respect gladly," he said.

Meanwhile, the president of the Association of Hotels and Motels of Zipolite, Jahir Flores, reiterated that in this way can help grow the Coast area and explain to society that nudism is not synonymous with sexual debauchery, because between nudist seeks only respect and appreciation to the body as foreign.

It is noteworthy that Zipolite thousand has 50 rooms and maintains this celebration, 90 percent of hotel occupancy in the area.

Nudist previous meetings were held in Argentina. Brazil, Chile, Uruguay and Ecuador. This 2016 was the turn of Zipolite beach in the municipality of Pochutla in the region of the Oaxacan coast.
